Further seminar recommendations on "Further training in project management

Why is it so important to attend the further training in project management?

Building up competence in the field of project management with the help of our training courses will quickly pay off for you and your company in economic terms. The motives and results of using the project management method are numerous and convincing: reducing costs, ensuring adherence to deadlines, reducing risks, quality management (QM) and assurance or shortening lead times. Without the use of a large toolbox of project management know-how and a process-based approach (Scrum), you will consume resources in your project that would be more sensibly invested elsewhere in your department or company and experience unnecessary friction losses. Occupational health and safety management can also be coordinated with professional project management.

Which project phases are differentiated in further education project management?

Project management (PM) is characterised by its very structured and agile implementation. The individual course of a project depends on various factors such as content, scope, duration and the composition of the team. In addition, different stakeholders are always involved and their decisions have a significant influence on every phase of a project. However, in our further training in project management, the following essential project phases can be distinguished, which will be taught to you as a participant:

  • Initiation
  • Definition
  • Planning
  • Execution & Control
  • Controlling
  • Documentation
  • Completion
  • Follow-up

What does the work of a project manager consist of, according to the further training in project management?

Basically and in general, the task of a project manager is to ensure the success of a project by means of leadership. Here, one has to work with fixed circumstances: usually time is short and the budget is limited. During the course of the project, the work consists of leading the team, reducing the complexity of the tasks and monitoring the progress of the project, for example using MS Project.

As the project management progresses, unforeseen events often occur: conflicts can arise within the team on the relationship or issue level, risks can have their effect unexpectedly or stakeholders do not meet milestones. In such cases, the project manager has to demonstrate creativity and improvisational talent. In the further training in project management, the realisation remains that no two projects are alike, but the goal-oriented project management methods that we teach the participants in our seminars are always the means of choice.

Further training in project management as a classroom or online seminar

In contrast to the blended learning approach, the advanced project management training is a two-day, in-person seminar in major cities such as Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne in Germany, Zurich in Switzerland or Vienna in Austria. If you are unable to attend the seminar in person, we also offer webinars on certain dates. Depending on which federal state you live in, you can apply for project management subsidies for the further training and finance it, for example, with an education cheque. The Dr. G. Kitzmann Academy is recognised as an educational centre for this purpose. We will provide you with the required certificate of participation in the project management training at the end of the training.
