The General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) is one of the most important laws in labour law - especially in the acquisition of new employees. Since the law was enacted in 2006, the AGG has become increasingly important in human resources and labour law. Based on EU directives, it guarantees protection against discrimination in the workplace based on gender, age, religion, racial or ethnic origin, disability or sexual identity.
As an employer, you should be familiar with the obligations and liability risks arising from the AGG. This training will help you to understand the AGG in all its facets and then apply it correctly in practice. You will learn to recognise so-called "pitfalls" and counteract possible claims for compensation.
In the first lecture, our lecturer Gerd Ley summarises the content of the AGG in such a way that you will be able to apply the law in your everyday work; the explanation of all paragraphs also ensures a comprehensive understanding.
The second lecture of the AGG training will introduce you to the practical application of the AGG in everyday business life. How are job advertisements formulated correctly and what characterises the correct behaviour in the job interview, the selection of the applicant and the formulation of the acceptance and rejection? These and other examples of application are discussed in detail in the lecture.
After completing the AGG training, you will be fit in the following areas:
- Knowledge of the scope of protection and important definitions
- Labour law regulations
- Enforcement of rights under the AGG
- Application of the AGG in company practice
